The event will focus on high-level topics ranging across individual and team-wide professional development, IT security risk, supporting faculty and students, and updates on the many ICI-supported collaborative projects that are underway. There will also be plenty of time for informal conversation for those who want to dig into deeper details.

IT Leaders and CIOs are encouraged to bring additional members of their staff if they wish. In particular, we think that those senior team members who aspire to have future leadership roles within IT or higher education will find the topics and event of interest.

SPECIAL PLENARY SESSION:

Focus on IT Security: “Diary of an Incident”

All institutions take precautions to prevent an information security incident, but what happens when it occurs?  Through experiences of our speaker, we will discuss the main areas of risk, the breach discovery process, a timeline and sequence of breach response, and emerging myths and misconceptions of breach response and repair.

Presented by Elisabeth D. Case, Senior Vice President, Marsh. Elisabeth Case is Senior E&O Client Advisor based in Chicago. She is the East and Central Zone Leader of the Commercial Errors and Omissions/Cyber Marsh Center of Excellence. Here is the full bio for our speaker.

PLEASE NOTE: In the session, “The Role of StrengthsFinder in Leadership and Collaboration,” (Thurs, Nov 6, 4:15), participants will be expected to have completed their own personal Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment prior to the Summit.  To do so, visit StrengthsFinder online (http://goo.gl/pCftI8) and complete the “Top 5 Strengths ” assessment ($9.99), then bring your results with you to the conference. Your StrengthsFinder results will remain confidential to you, but you will reference them during the session.
