Security – Detection

Detecting Internal and External Security Events

More and more colleges and universities are concerned about threats to their computing and networking environments. With the publicity surrounding the loss of personal data, system penetrations and continuous Internet threats, it is more important than ever for institutions of higher education to detect these threats. Network and host intrusion detection technology, system auditing, and event logging are all essential tools in detecting threats and limiting potentially embarrassing data loss.
