The Right Place to Meet |
Just as our 31 independent colleges and universities across Indiana
provide the "right place" for students of all interests and backgrounds,
the ICI headquarters provides the "right place" for your Indianapolis
meetings and gatherings. The building's upper level contains staff
offices and a large board room; the lower level houses a conference
center for use by our campus colleagues and others connected with ICI
and our mission.

Where We're Located |
On the Meridian Street corridor, we are located about three miles north
of Monument Circle and one block north of the Children's Museum of
Indianapolis.

Background on Our Facility |
In 2006, the ICI Board of Directors decided to purchase its own
building, joining the ranks of nine other state associations of
independent colleges who have made similar investments. In addition to
the financial and strategic benefits of a permanent and visible
headquarters in downtown Indianapolis, having our own headquarters
allows us to offer convenient, comfortable, and cost-effective
Indianapolis meeting and conference space to our campuses and related
organizations.

Conference/Meeting Spaces Available |
|
The ICI Conference Center on the lower level, with large daylight
windows and adjacent kitchen/food-service space and
handicapped-accessible restrooms, includes the following meeting areas,
available both during and after normal business hours:
- Classroom/Meeting Room & Adjoining Dining/Expanded Classroom Space,
separated by a moveable wall. These two areas have a combined 2400 sq.
ft. and combined capacity of 120 persons (or roughly 60 each).
- Reception Area, with approximately 1200 sq. ft. and a capacity of 75
persons.

- The Executive Board Room on the main level, where ICI staff offices
are located, is normally available free of charge to any ICI member
institution wishing to use it during normal business hours. This 720 sq.
ft. room accommodates 12-16 persons.

Support Services Offered |
Support services include presentation and internet capabilities, a list of pre-approved caterers, and onsite third-party
security for after-hour utilization (to be paid by clients).

Parking |
The facility has 34 free onsite parking spaces. During business hours,
14 of these are typically used by ICI staff members, but when necessary,
ICI staff can shift their cars to a remote location. Upon request,
additional parking may be made available at the Salvation Army
Headquarters across Meridian Street from the ICI headquarters.
