At the University of Evansville, a private, liberal arts and sciences-based university founded in 1854, students can make an impact and transform their lives.
UE’s student body of approximately 2,400 undergraduates hails from 41 states and 53 countries. U.S. News & World Report ranks UE in the top 10 master’s-granting universities in the Midwest and third in the region for “Great Schools, Great Prices.” Great Affordable Colleges ranked UE third among private schools on the “50 Great Affordable Colleges in the Midwest” list.
Students choose from more than 80 majors, including nationally renowned programs in fields such as archaeology, civil engineering, physical therapy, and theatre. UE’s student-athletes compete in NCAA Division I and currently hold the highest grade point average in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The University has been recognized as one of the nation’s top schools for study abroad by the Institute of International Education’s “Open Doors” report. UE owns and operates a British campus, Harlaxton College, a 100-room Victorian manor in the countryside near Grantham, England. More than half of UE students study abroad at Harlaxton or in more than 25 countries around the globe.
At UE, students experience personal, meaningful interactions, working one-on-one with faculty mentors to create a custom learning experience. Outside the classroom, students can join and lead more than 150 student organizations, and during the 2012-13 academic year, UE students performed more than 18,000 hours of service in the Evansville community.
Through each step of their college journey, beginning as a prospective student and continuing after graduation, students work with the dedicated professionals in UE’s Center for Career Development as they explore career paths and find their passion.
A recent survey of the graduating class of 2013 showed that 94 percent were employed or in graduate school, demonstrating that UE is committed to helping students’ investments pay off with measurable results and helping them land not just their first job, but their best job.
