As students’ needs are changing, so is higher education. Grace College is one of the first schools in America to respond with an aggressive plan to reimagine the affordability and “effectiveness” of the college experience—a plan allowing students to spend significantly less by opting for an accelerated 3-year degree. The new Measure of Grace program, which will be implemented in fall 2015, reduces costs even more. The program is comprised of three parts:
- Tuition Reduction: While most colleges raise their tuition every year, Grace has decided to break free from that cycle and reduce tuition by 9% for the fall 2015 school year.
- No More Tuition Increases: For full-time, traditional undergraduate students on our main campus, tuition will never be higher than their first year. And, for every year a student is continuously enrolled, he or she will get $500 off of the cost of their tuition.
- Books for Free: Grace has decided that every textbook rental for every class is free (excluding workbooks and consumables). This is estimated to save students $1,200 a year.
Now, Grace graduates can be career-ready and in their job, earning a living and having real marketplace or ministry influence, one year sooner saving a whole year of college costs. We’re providing a rich learning experience as each student will complete 12 credits of practical, applied learning opportunities, like internships and study abroad.
You’ll still get Christian values and community. You’ll still get challenging coursework. But with Grace’s new curricular structure and accelerated degree option, you can also get more field experience, your diploma one year earlier, and have more money in your wallet.
At Grace, you’ll have more options. Want to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in three years? Great! Still looking for the traditional four-year college experience? No problem. Want to earn your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just four years? We can help you do that. Want to earn your associate degree cost-effectively in Indianapolis and Detroit at the Henry and Frances Weber School and then complete your bachelor’s degree on the main campus? That’s now possible, too.
Of course, not everything is changing. Grace is still dedicated to its core essential values, and its progressive efforts to reimagine the future of this college will not compromise those commitments. Grace College is an evangelical Christian community of higher education that applies biblical values in strengthening character, sharpening competence, and preparing for service.
The 180-acre campus is located in the historic resort town of Winona Lake, near Warsaw. Grace has historically been among the top schools of its size and listed in U.S. News & World Report as one of “America’s Best Colleges.” The Princeton Review has regularly awarded it the title of a “Best Midwestern College.”
