Hanover College is a premier, nationally-ranked private liberal arts institution in southern Indiana. Academically, Hanover has core strengths in the sciences, education, and business, but the curriculum offers an interdisciplinary approach to 33 majors. Other distinctive strengths:
- 100 percent of students in the Business Scholars Program are taught by corporate-experienced faculty and graduate with a project-based internship, extensive business-skills training, and experience in business-development consulting.
- Prospective teachers gain experience in area classrooms as early as their first year and graduate with both a specialty degree and a teaching certificate.
- Students in the Health and Biomedical Sciences Program can shadow and network with professionals in surgery, pediatrics, ER, get frequent and personal advising, and assistance in graduate school preparation. Our budding scientists also have access to a human patient simulator and a human cadaver lab, as undergrads; opportunities available at no other school in Indiana.
- Hanover offers exceptional environmental programs with 650 acres of outdoor labs, summer institutes for high school students, and access to the Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge and Clifty Falls State Park.
Deeply rooted in the tradition of a liberal arts education, Hanover graduates stand out because they are challenged academically and encouraged to continue their research through off-campus experiential learning, independent study and internships. Ninety-eight percent of Hanover graduates are either employed or in graduate school within seven months of graduation. Hanover is a leader in the percentage of students going straight into graduate school with 32 percent.
USA Today, the Princeton Review and the Kiplinger Review named Hanover a “Best Value” private college based on cost of attendance and quality of education. For seven consecutive years, Hanover was named as one of “The Nation’s Best 373 Colleges” by the Princeton Review and was recently named a “Top College” by Forbes.
Situated on one of the nation’s most scenic campuses, Hanover is located by the historic Indiana city of Madison and is within a short driving distance of Louisville, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.
