Indiana Private College Week
July 17-21, 2017

Click here to view the Private College Week schedule.

Private College Week is a chance for you and your family to discover what Indiana Private Colleges have to offer.  From Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21, Indiana’s 31 non-profit independent colleges and universities are inviting students and parents to come experience their campuses through tours and informational sessions.

New this year: 21st Century Scholars Day!
July 19, the Wednesday of Private College Week, is 21st Century Scholars Day! This is a special day designed to help students who are 21st Century Scholars complete activities in their Scholar Success Program. Check out the schedule (above) to see which campuses are participating and how they can help you complete these activities required of you to receive your scholarship.

Why Take the Time and Effort to Visit Campuses?
Visiting a campus can be an instrumental part of making your college decision.  Campus visits can provide information and experiences that cannot be gotten through websites, brochures, or other sources.  This is a great opportunity to see what each of our unique campuses has to offer!

Just a few of the many reasons Indiana’s private colleges are the “smart choice”:

  • Availability of Financial Aid:  More than 90% of students at Indiana's private colleges receive one or more types of financial aid (state, federal, institutional aid, and/or special scholarships), making a private college education affordable and often no more expensive (and sometimes even less so) than a state university.
  • Personal Attention:  Class size at Indiana’s private colleges and universities averages 14 students to one professor, and graduates are more likely to report that they are “highly satisfied” with the quality of their education.
  • Opportunities for Leadership:  With smaller and more personal learning environments, there are more opportunities for students to be involved in extracurricular activities of all sorts, further developing their leadership skills.
  • Higher Graduation Rates:  Students at Indiana’s private, non-profit campuses are twice as likely to graduate in four years as students at other types of institutions.
