OCU considers the potential and personal goals of each student a top priority.

Faculty members at Oakland City University are caring, qualified, and knowledgeable individuals who spend their time teaching, sharing not only their subject knowledge but also their personal experiences.

Students receive the one-on-one attention that is needed and deserved in today’s educational process. The average class size at OCU is 17, a number that allows a tremendous amount of interaction among faculty and students in the classroom.

OCU’s four schools provide a wide array of programs that are designed to meet the diverse needs of students and their future employers. The university has historically offered traditional liberal arts programs, such as English, math, and social sciences. Oakland City University is known throughout the United States for its programs in teacher education and religious studies.

OCU now offers doctoral degrees in both Educational Leadership and Ministry, in addition to master’s programs in each area. To meet the needs of business, the business degree programs are offered in both traditional and accelerated formats.

Faculty members, ever cognizant of the changing needs of our global society, regularly revise and update their programs to ensure excellence.                    The university has spent more than 100 years designing a well-rounded curriculum, and the administration, faculty, and staff are proud that the university’s success shows in the achievements of our graduates.
