Located in Crawfordsville and founded in 1832, Wabash is a liberal arts college dedicated to academic excellence and the development of leadership skills. One of only three colleges for men in the United States, Wabash educates men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively and live humanely.
Wabash’s liberal arts curriculum enables men to major in any one of 22 majors, pre-professional programs in medicine, law, and business, and dual degree programs in engineering and accounting. Wabash produces well-rounded leaders who can adapt in a rapidly changing world.
Students at Wabash follow only one rule, the Gentleman’s Rule, which requires them to behave as gentlemen and responsible citizens at all times. A strong fraternity system, governed by students, provides ample social and leadership opportunities.
Wabash extends the classroom through a wide range of international programs. Innovative Immersion Learning courses provide students opportunities to travel with their professors domestically and abroad for intense engagement in course work. Each year, about a quarter of all Wabash students travel to sources of learning in places like Berlin, Athens, Rome, Mexico City, and Madrid, to name only a few. Wabash is also proud of its Ecuadorian Studies program, in which students spend a full month in residence for intensive language and course study in fields ranging from economics to literature to the ecology of the Galapagos Islands.
Outside the classroom, Wabash students have a wide range of activities to explore, including workshops, seminars, visiting artists and lecturers, film, music, theater, forensics and intramural sports.
Athletes compete in 12 intercollegiate sports in NCAA Division III and the North Coast Athletic Conference, and Wabash boasts nationally ranked athletic facilities.
Testament to Wabash’s extraordinary balance between academics and athletics is the large number of student-athletes named NCAA Postgraduate Scholars and to Academic All-America teams.
There are strong academic pressures at Wabash, and men who rise to the challenge find a Wabash education rewarding.
