The Indiana Academy Nominations


Members of The Indiana Academy and the designated members of the ICI Board of Directors may nominate a distinguished individual for membership in the Indiana Academy to recognize her or his exceptional leadership in philanthropy, business, public service, the advancement of the sciences, the arts, literature, culture, and scholarship in connection with Indiana’s independent non-profit colleges and universities.

The nomination process has been simplified and requires only a single letter of recommendation and the nominee’s CV from an ICI president or member of the Academy. Nominations should be emailed to Kelly Smith at by Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Click here for important details regarding nomination criteria and process. 

We ask that your nomination letter include the names and contact information of two others who support your nomination. The Regents have clarified that these are not required to be ICI presidents or members of the Academy. They need only be individuals who are familiar with the work of the nominee and who have indicated to you that they are supportive of his or her nomination.
